Technical Director, Annapolis Select Futbol Club
Alejandro Cabrera joins Annapolis Select Futbol Club as Technical Director, bringing a strong background in player development, scouting, and performance analysis. He has worked across several levels of the game, from youth and high school programs to professional clubs, with a focus on helping players and coaches reach their full potential.
Before joining Annapolis Select, Alejandro was part of the Philadelphia Union’s Academy staff, where he helped establish the Academy Data Analytics Division. His work combined video and performance data to support coaches and players in their growth, while also contributing to opposition analysis and player development planning. In addition to his academy experience, Alejandro also led the Philadelphia Union Player Pathway Program’s U12 and U8 Boys teams, guiding both groups to success in multiple tournaments and friendly showcases against other MLS youth squads, while emphasizing player growth and team identity.
Alejandro also served as a First Team Scout with Phoenix Rising FC of the USL Championship as a part of their Rising Scout program, where he evaluated players from international leagues and collaborated with the club’s recruitment staff to identify top talent. Earlier in his career, he coached with Christos FC, Baltimore Celtic, Liverpool International Academy Maryland, and Archbishop Spalding High School, leading teams to strong competitive performances and helping players advance within elite pathways.
A USSF National C License holder, Alejandro is passionate about building a clear and consistent playing identity across the club. He believes in using modern tools like video and data analysis to support learning, while cultivating an environment where players enjoy the game, understand it deeply, and develop the skills needed to succeed at the next level.
